Young Life Changed My Life A teacher at Kellam, Glenn LaFerriere, used to come to my tennis matches. One day after a match, he invited me to come to Young Life club. I got very involved and went to Saranac Lake the summer I graduated. The message I heard reached me, and at 18, I became a Christian.
I trained to be a YL leader during my first semester out of high school. I led Young Life at First Colonial all through college. When I started teaching at Green Run, I started leading there. I took a break after adopting Erin in 1993. When I went back into teaching in 1986 at First Colonial, I led there for 1 year. When I transferred to PA the following year, I led there for one semester. Because I had 2 small children, I quit leading until they got older. When Erik & Erin came to high school at PA, I became a leader once again. Due to my growing family responsibilities, I stopped leading in 2012, but in 2016 I started leading at PA again. I will always continue to wholeheartedly support the Young Life mission no matter what state in life I am in.
